Grind Guide

Our failsafe guide to choosing which grind to pick when ordering your coffee.

Whole Bean

As it sounds - freshly roasted and untouched. Suitable for bean-to-cup machines, or anyone who has a grinder at home.

Immersion

A brewing style in which the grounds are left to brew in the water. Suitable for any kind of immersion-brewing e.g. cafetière. Course.

Extraction

Also known as drip-coffee. V60, Kalita Wave, Chemex, and most batch brewers come under extraction brewing. Medium-course.

Espresso

The finest grind type, ideal for espresso machines without a grinder, mokapots, and Aeropress (if you like espresso-style Aeropress).
